This is a walking excursion that allows you to get to know the hills of Vidor and its district Colbertaldo that have recently obtained UNESCO recognition as a https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/1571/. We walk part of the “Dal Sacro al Prosecco,” a historical-naturalistic trail, and at the same time enjoy the food and wine of this area.
Starting from the center of the town, we go up to the Castle of Vidor, which was built in the 12th century as a medieval fortress and after the two World Wars became an ossuary monument. From here, the walk continues along the Rive di Vidor e Colbertaldo, hills included in the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. area. We discover some singular wine cellars of Vidor and taste their wines. For lunch, we stop at a typical tavern with a rustic, family atmosphere where we are served traditional dishes prepared with local products.
The excursion is a fun way to discover Prosecco by walking through its hills and vineyards. As your guide, I will show you the territory of Vidor from the perspective of one who lives here, and you will appreciate this village surrounded by beautiful landscapes, immersed in history, and bustling with agricultural activity.
